Aching legs, screeched arms, blisters on feet, straggly beard, nights spent in a tiny cold tent, meals hard to consider meals at all, entire days spent walking with a small house on the shoulders, under a burning sun or fighting against a freezing wind, on stones or mud, each step is an effort. It seems incredible, sometimes, how happiness can assumes the most different form, the uttermost from commonly accepted visions. Nevertheless even this is happiness. Happiness to had gained the prize of the vision of a scenery hidden for most people, days away from the first sign of urbanization; happiness to have had an individual talk with yourself, the nature as witness and confessor; happiness to had explored the limits of physical and mental strength. Happiness is just go, let you lead by heart and mind, without setting limits but goals to reach. Happiness is to enjoy the chances you had and the opportunities you met. Happiness is few material goods and a heart full of life.
Gambe doloranti, graffi sulle braccia, vesciche ai piedi, barba incolta, notti al freddo in una minuscola tenda, pasti difficilmente considerabili tali, giorni interi spesi camminando con una piccola casa sulle spalle, sotto un sole cocente o lottando con un gelido vento, su pietre o su fango, ogni passo uno sforzo. Sembra incredibile, a volte, come la felicità possa assumere le forme più disparate, le più lontane dalle visioni comunemente accettate. Eppure anche questa è felicità. Felicità è andare, lasciarsi guidare dal cuore e dalla mente, senza porsi limiti ma obiettivi da raggiungere. Felicità è godere delle fortune avute e delle opportunità incrociate. Felicità è pochi beni materiali e un cuore pieno di vita.
