A date planned some thousands years ago. And who knows how many years?! A day a snowfall, and then again and again for weeks, years, centuries. That snow piled up, compacted, became hard till seems rock. Then, slowly, it started moving. Really slowly. Thousands of years to move few dozens of kilometers, preparing, making itself beautiful, to be ready for the date, to show up at the best condition. There's no reply, there's no way to stop the ride. And then finally here we are, one in front of the other, few dozens of meters between us. Moments of waiting, a fleeting greeting, a wink. And then let's go down, an elegant and lightweight dive, a silent and slow start and then headlong down, a 50 meters tall column of ice throws itself in the water in front of me with one thousand cannon shots crash one meter away from me. Thousands of years of preparation for a date of few endless moments. This is love.
Un appuntamento programmato da qualche migliaio di anni. Chissà poi quanti anni?! Un giorno una nevicata, e poi ancora e ancora per settimane, anni, secoli. Quella neve si è accumulata, compattata, indurita fino a sembrare roccia. Poi, lentamente, ha iniziato a muoversi. Molto lentamente. Migliaia di anni per percorrere poche decine di chilometri, preparandosi, facendosi bella, per essere pronta all'incontro, per mostrarsi al meglio della forma. Non c'è replica, non si può interrompere la corsa. E poi finalmente eccoci, uno di fronte all'altra, poche decine di metri ci separano. Attimi di attesa, un saluto fugace, un occhiolino. E poi giù, un tuffo leggero ed elegante, una partenza silenziosa e lenta e poi giù a capofitto, una colonna di 50 metri di ghiaccio che si getta nell'acqua davanti ai miei occhi con il fragore di mille cannonate esplose insieme ad un metro di distanza. Migliaia di anni di preparazione per un incontro durato pochi interminabili istanti. Questo è amore.
